Ok job pick of the month takes us to Walthamstow in London E17 in the London Borough of Waltham Forest.

The issue was a badly fitted roof to a converted block of flats the clients that looked after the building had a financially tight budget and the roof was leaking in numerous places. The roof had not been maintained properly and there was evidence that the roof substrate was defective as it was sagging and holding water in numerous places. The client did not have the budget to renew the whole roof so we suggested doing half as the roof fell in two directions. We removed the old membranes and re fitted a new substrate 18mm decking before fitting a 10 year roof system.

There was also some incorrectly fitted velux windows with slate flashing kit that the client also did not have the funds to replace them. however we was able to rectify this by adapting the front and rear flashing kits and incorporating into the roof system.

The moral of the story is that whatever your circumstances there is always usually a solution that we may be able to offer Its always a good idea to use a competent contractor with accreditation and licensed from the manufacturer to ensure waterproofing integrity roofing.
